Zakharova: Russia is grateful to Azerbaijan for its assistance in delivering humanitarian aid to Iran

Russia expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani authorities for their assistance in organizing the transfer of humanitarian aid to Iran.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated this at a briefing.

Zakharova recalled that a second large consignment of medications was handed over at the Astara border crossing on March 27. According to her, over 300 tons of medications were delivered by rail, and an additional 150 tons of humanitarian aid collected in Dagestan were delivered by road convoy.

"We are grateful to the Azerbaijani authorities for their assistance," she noted.
