U.S. seeks to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan on natural resources

The United States intends to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan in the extraction and export of natural resources.

Speaking at the opening of the 31st Baku Energy Week, Caleb Orr said that the United States and Azerbaijan have built a long-term partnership over the past three decades.

“Azerbaijan is a very important regional partner in advancing energy security. Azerbaijan is also the birthplace of the modern oil industry. The ‘Contract of the Century’ that we signed 30 years ago changed the situation across global oil and gas markets and has served multiple generations. Our Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed in Baku by Vice President Vance and President Aliyev. The United States wishes to continue cooperating with Azerbaijan in the extraction and export of natural resources,” he said.
