A significant number of US forces are concentrated in the Middle East.

According to "The Daily Baku", US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said this in an interview with the "Newsmax" TV channel.

"The president has a lot of cards to play. I won't say exactly what he will do, but we want to make sure that we have several options for action. We have a lot of forces in the region," he said while discussing US policy towards Iran.

According to the vice president, Donald Trump "just wants to make sure" that the United States "has the necessary resources to respond" if Iran "does something very stupid."

Trump has previously said that the United States is watching Iran and is sending significant forces, including ships, to the region. At the same time, the US President noted that he "would prefer that nothing happened."
