Ukrainian President named the key condition for lifting martial law

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that martial law in the country can only be lifted after receiving real security guarantees, The Daily Baku reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

"We all want the war to end. And then martial law will end. But martial law will end when Ukraine receives security guarantees," the president emphasized.

Zelenskyy explained that security guarantees imply not only political statements but also practical mechanisms, such as monitoring by partners and their actual presence.

"If we find an opportunity, with America, Europe, and Russia, to sign 20 points to end the war, I am very confident that at that moment we will simultaneously receive security guarantees. This will be a signal that the war is over," Zelenskyy emphasized.

He added that the timing of lifting martial law will also depend on the position of the military command. This issue has already been discussed at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

"The command must confirm that the entire infrastructure is ready for this in order to lift martial law," the president concluded.
