Ukrainian Ambassador: Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid is extremely important for us in difficult times, we will not forget it

"Today, first of all, I want to express our solidarity, because today is January 20 - the Day of Black January. We always stand in solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan, we are always with you and we always support the territorial integrity, sovereignty and freedom of Azerbaijan," Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev told journalists, The Daily Baku reports.
"We especially appreciate the support provided by Azerbaijan today. Today we are accepting another humanitarian aid package, which is extremely important for us in the winter, after the terrorist attacks on our electrical infrastructure by Russia," the diplomat noted.
The Ukrainian ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan.
Yuriy Husyev noted that they highly appreciate Azerbaijan's support and will never forget this support provided in this difficult period.
Note that another shipment of electrical equipment intended for humanitarian aid by the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine has been sent from the territory of the Sumgayit Technologies Park.
The shipment of aid was provided by the Ministry of Energy in accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated January 16, 2026.
The humanitarian cargo includes a total of 12 low-voltage panels, 11 generators, 5 transformers and 27,000 meters of cables and wires.
The total cost of the aid, organized upon the request of the Ukrainian side, is 1 million US dollars.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan has previously sent humanitarian aid related to electricity supply to Ukraine. The total cost of the total humanitarian support provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine, including assistance aimed at recovery and reconstruction, has already exceeded 45 million US dollars.
