UK develops plan to restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz

The United Kingdom is working with partners on the parameters of a plan to restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
This was stated in an official release from the UK Prime Minister’s Office following a phone call between Keir Starmer and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“The United Kingdom is currently working with partners on what a possible plan could look like to ensure the flow of goods through this vital maritime route,” Downing Street said.
It was also noted that Starmer expressed unwavering support for Riyadh.
It should be recalled that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran, carrying out airstrikes on several cities. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israeli territory and attacked US military bases in Gulf countries. Several states in the region temporarily closed their airspace due to the situation. On the same day, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of the strikes.
