Türkiye: Reports of support for attacks against Iran do not reflect reality

Türkiye does not make any of its land, sea, or air capabilities – including its airspace – available for operational purposes in favor of any party in any conflict or war.

"The Daily Baku" reports that this statement was issued by the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.

It was noted that claims circulating on certain social media platforms alleging that Türkiye has supported recent attacks against Iran are completely unfounded and constitute disinformation aimed at misleading the public.

“Türkiye does not make any of its land, sea, or air capabilities – including its airspace – available for operational purposes in favor of any party in any conflict or war. This issue is among the fundamental principles of our country’s foreign policy and security.”

It was also emphasized that Türkiye’s sovereign rights over its air, land, and maritime domains are full and indisputable. All activities related to our sovereign areas are carried out solely in accordance with the national security assessments of the Republic of Türkiye and under the supervision and control of the competent authorities.

“The public is requested not to rely on speculative and unfounded claims and to take into account only statements issued by official institutions.”
