Türkiye announce squad for FIFA World Cup

Türkiye national team head coach Vincenzo Montella has named his final 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The squad includes several high-profile players competing in Europe's top leagues, including Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Arda Güler, Kenan Yıldız and Altay Bayındır.

Goalkeepers selected for the tournament are Uğurcan Çakır, Altay Bayındır and Mert Günok.

The defensive unit features Merih Demiral, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Eren Elmalı, Mert Müldür, Çağlar Söyüncü, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Ozan Kabak, Samet Akaydın and Zeki Çelik.

In midfield, Montella has called up İsmail Yüksek, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Kaan Ayhan, Orkun Kökçü and Salih Özcan.

Türkiye's attacking options include Arda Güler, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Yunus Akgün, Can Uzun, Deniz Gül, İrfan Can Kahveci, Oğuz Aydın, Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Kenan Yıldız.

Türkiye will compete in Group D alongside the United States, Australia and Paraguay.

The FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
