Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Türkiye exceeds $5.2 billion

In January-November of this year, the volume of trade transactions between Azerbaijan and Türkiye amounted to 5.200 billion US dollar, The Daily Baku reports that the State Customs Committee informed Trend about this.

According to the information, this is 424.3 million US dollars or 7.5% less than the indicator in the same months of 2024.

During the reporting period, trade turnover with Türkiye amounted to 11.66% of Azerbaijan's total trade turnover. Thus, the country in question ranked 2nd among the countries with which Azerbaijan conducted the most trade transactions during the reporting period.

In January-November of this year, exports of products worth 3.076 billion US dollars were recorded from Azerbaijan to Türkiye. This is 440 million US dollars or 12.5% ​​less than the same period last year. Thus, Türkiye ranked 2nd among the countries with which Azerbaijan exported the most products during the reporting period.

During the period, 69 million US dollars of products exported to Turkey were crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks. The volume of exports of this product in this value amounted to 142.4 thousand tons. Thus, compared to the same period last year, the value of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks exported from Azerbaijan to Turkey decreased by 132.6 million US dollars or 2.9 times, and the volume decreased by 227.2 thousand tons or 2.6 times.

In addition, in the first 11 months of this year, 546.1 million manats of products exported to Turkey were non-oil products, which is 39 million dollars or 7.7% more than the year before.

During the period, non-oil products exports to Turkey had a share of 16.46% compared to total exports. With this indicator, Turkey ranked second among the largest buyers of non-oil products of Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, export transactions worth 2.125 billion US dollars were carried out from Turkey to Azerbaijan, which is an increase of 15.7 million US dollars or 0.7% compared to the same period in 2024. Thus, Turkey ranked 3rd among the countries from which Azerbaijan imported the most products during the reporting period.

It should be noted that in January-November of this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth 44.589 billion US dollars. This is 1.480 billion US dollars or 3.4% more than in the same period last year.

Of the foreign trade turnover, 23.401 billion US dollars were exports, and 21.188 billion US dollars were imports. In the last 1 year, exports decreased by 937 million US dollars or 3.8%, while imports increased by 2.416 billion US dollars or 12.9%.

As a result, a positive balance of $2.213 billion was created in foreign trade, which is $3.353 billion or 2.5 times less than the annual figure.
