Tourist flow from Middle Eastern countries to Azerbaijan decreased by 4%

In January–February 2026, Azerbaijan was visited by 36,470 tourists from Middle Eastern countries, which is 3.9% less compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the largest number of tourists among Middle Eastern countries arrived from Saudi Arabia – 10,959 people, which is an increase of 13.3% year-on-year.

In addition, the number of tourists from Israel amounted to 8,683 (up 2.1 times), Kuwait – 4,732 (down 20.3%), the UAE – 4,705 (down 51.7%), Oman – 2,409 (down 34.8%), Egypt – 1,399 (up 6.4%), Jordan – 819 (down 0.6%), Bahrain – 806 (up 4.1%), Iraq – 779 (up 86.4%), Yemen – 421 (down 22.5%), Qatar – 400 (down 6.5%), Lebanon – 144 (down 33.6%), Palestine – 131 (down 13.8%), and Syria – 83 (down 5.7%).

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan was visited by 337,300 foreign citizens from 163 countries, which is 0.4% less than in the same period last year.
