The number of people registered to participate in WUF13 has been announced
23,350 people representing 175 countries have registered to participate in the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku.
This was stated by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, at the event "Entrepreneurship Development is a Strong Economy" held in Baku today.
He noted that this process is becoming increasingly intense: "It is very pleasing that 13.3% of them represent entrepreneurial entities, which is the highest indicator in the history of the World Urban Forum".
A. Guliyev emphasized that the reforms implemented in the field of urban planning are not limited to infrastructure projects: "This is also an important mechanism for stimulating economic growth, increasing employment and developing innovation. Entrepreneurs act as the main driving force in this process. I am confident that as a result of effective cooperation between the state and the private sector, Azerbaijani cities will become the most modern, sustainable and competitive residential centers in the region."
