The European Union is committed to the rights of national minorities in India

The European Union (EU) remains committed to human rights, including the rights of national minorities. This also applies to India, with which the EU signed a number of cooperation documents today.
"The Daily Baku" reports that at a briefing in Brussels, the head of the EU press service, Paula Pinho, said this while answering a question about the union's concerns about minority rights in India.
"The EU, as in all countries, closely monitors the human rights situation in India. We are in close contact with the Indian authorities and civil society," she noted.
Pinho said that the main platform for discussing such issues was the EU-India Human Rights Dialogue.
According to her, the last meeting in this framework was held in January 2025, and the next meeting is planned for April-May this year.
