State Department: All embassies must be prepared for potential threats from Iran

The US State Department has ordered all American embassies and diplomatic missions to immediately assess their security posture and consider additional measures amid the backdrop of US–Israel military operations.
According to The Daily Baku, The Washington Post cited internal communications from the US State Department as reporting this development.
It was noted that the directive is related to the “current and evolving situation in the Middle East and its possible consequences.”
According to the publication, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio instructed diplomatic missions to establish special teams to identify potential threats and develop response plans.
In recent weeks, similar instructions had reportedly been sent only to American diplomatic missions in the Middle East. However, the order has now been extended to all US embassies worldwide. As emphasized by the publication, this marks the first time that all American diplomatic missions globally have been instructed to review security measures in connection with the war involving Iran.
