The selection and preparation stage of the cybersecurity direction of the "WorldSkills Shanghai 2026" international competition, which will be held in Shanghai, China, on September 22-27, 2026, has started, The Daily Baku reports, citing Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

The process of preparing specialists who will represent Azerbaijan at the prestigious international platform, which will be attended by more than 1,000 participants and experts from 89 countries of the world, is being carried out within the framework of the joint strategic cooperation of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), the State Agency for Vocational Education, and "WorldSkills Azerbaijan".

The selection rounds and the preparation process for the competition are organized at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center operating under IDDA. These stages aim to form the national cyber personnel potential in accordance with international standards, strengthen the practical skills of young specialists, and increase competitiveness on a global scale.
