President approved a reduction in military service for officers in peacetime.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev approved legislative amendments providing for a six-month reduction in the length of active military service for officers during peacetime, The Daily Baku reports.

The amendments were made to the provisions "On the Procedure for Military Service" and the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service."
