Police supervision in schools has been strengthened in Türkiye.

Following armed incidents that occurred over the past two days in schools in the Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş regions, control measures in educational institutions across the country have been tightened.

According to The Daily Baku, citing TRT Haber, the decision was made by Türkiye’s Ministries of Interior and National Education.

Under the decision, at least two police officers have been assigned to each school.

It was also stated that, if necessary, additional forces may be deployed during school hours to ensure the safety of teachers and students.
