During the course of the U.S. and Israeli operation in Iran, at least 390 American service members have been wounded.
Earlier, the Pentagon had reported 380 injured U.S. troops.
Most of the injuries were sustained during attacks by Iranian drones.
The report notes that the majority of the wounded soldiers have already returned to duty.
So far, 13 American service members have been killed in the course of the fighting, including 6 in Kuwait and 1 in Saudi Arabia. The others died as a result of a crash involving a U.S. aerial refueling aircraft.
It should be recalled that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran, carrying out airstrikes on a number of cities. On the same day, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the strikes.
In response, Iran launched missile attacks on Israeli territory and targeted U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf countries.
Iran, the United States, and their allies reached a two-week ceasefire agreement on the night of April 8, 2026. U.S.–Iran talks are scheduled to take place in Pakistan on April 11.
