Pashinyan: The “Karabakh movement” issue must be closed

The “Karabakh movement” topic must now be closed, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, The Daily Baku reports, citing Armenian media.

The prime minister noted that this issue must be closed forever, as Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to mutually recognize each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration, and for him this topic is already closed.

I told citizens directly that the ‘Karabakh movement’ topic must be closed. As the Prime Minister of Armenia, I will pursue this line. If citizens do not agree with this policy, I invite them to carry out a revolution. No prime minister has ever called on citizens to stage a revolution; the revolution did not happen, and we will continue this policy,” Pashinyan said.
