Pashinyan: One of Armenia’s key priorities is strengthening the peace process with Azerbaijan at the institutional level

Following the announcement of the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered a statement reaffirming Yerevan’s commitment to peace, regional cooperation, and the normalization of relations with neighboring countries.
According to Armenian media reports, Pashinyan stated that the Armenian government's position regarding Türkiye and Azerbaijan remains unchanged.
"The people of Armenia support peace, regional prosperity, and regional cooperation. I hope this will be positively received by both Türkiye and Azerbaijan," he said.
According to the prime minister, one of Armenia’s key priorities is to strengthen the peace process with Azerbaijan at the institutional level.
Speaking about relations with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan recalled that the parties have already reached agreement on the text of a peace treaty and should now proceed to its signing.
"As for Azerbaijan, you know that we already have a pre-agreed peace agreement. We must sign it," he said.
Pashinyan also addressed Armenia-Türkiye relations, noting that Yerevan expects further progress in the normalization process and in opening the state border between the two countries.
The Armenian prime minister also highly praised recent developments in the transportation sector and expressed gratitude for the decision to open the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway route for Armenian cargo transportation.
