A total of 1,329 students from Azerbaijan studied in the United States during the last academic year, marking an 18% increase compared to the previous year, US Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, Amy Carlon, said at the opening of the Study in the USA exhibition organized by the US Embassy and EducationUSA.
She noted that the number of Azerbaijani students in American universities has been increasing for four consecutive years, reflecting strong confidence in the quality of education in the United States.
"USA continues to remain one of the most popular destinations for Azerbaijani students seeking higher education. In recent years, we have observed significant growth in interest in studying in our country. In the last academic year, 1,329 students from Azerbaijan studied in the United States, which is 18% more compared to the previous year. This trend has been observed for the fourth consecutive year and reflects growing trust in the high quality of American education," Carlon said.
She emphasized that Azerbaijani students in the United States not only receive high-quality education but also gain valuable international experience.
"They become bridges between cultures, build strong connections, and return home with new ideas and perspectives that contribute to the development of Azerbaijan," the diplomat noted.
Carlon also said that representatives from more than 40 US higher education institutions are participating in today's exhibition.
