Pashinyan is demanding $16,000 from Karapetyan over his comments about hallucinogenic mushrooms

The Civil Court of Armenia has accepted a lawsuit filed by Nikol Pashinyan, a candidate for prime minister of the Civil Contract party, against Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the Strong Armenia party.

Armenian media outlets report this.

He filed the lawsuit against Karapetyan over his claim that the Armenian prime minister uses hallucinogenic mushrooms. Pashinyan is demanding 6 million drams (approximately $16,000) in compensation. The statement of claim states that the information is defamatory, and therefore demands a public retraction and monetary compensation.
