Oil prices fell more than 1% in early trading on Monday after concerns about a potential conflict in the Middle East between the United States and Iran eased, with both sides concluding another round of talks on Friday.
According to The Daily Baku, this was reported by Reuters.
Brent crude futures fell 89 cents, or 1.31%, to $67.16 per barrel as of 23:09 GMT.
The price of U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 79 cents (-1.24%) to $62.76 per barrel.
Analysts believe this is due to statements by Iran's top diplomat last Friday that nuclear talks with the United States, brokered by Oman, "have gotten off to a good start" and will continue.
