Number of people receiving special-condition labour pensions in Azerbaijan rises by nearly 3%

The number of people receiving labour pensions under special conditions in Azerbaijan reached 151,232 in January this year, according to official figures.

The data, cited by The Daily Baku from the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, show a 2.7% increase compared with the same period last year.

Of the total, 114,358 people received pensions based on age, representing a 2.6% year-on-year rise. Meanwhile, 14,112 individuals were granted pensions due to disability, a decrease of 0.7%.

A further 22,762 people received pensions as survivors who had lost the family breadwinner, marking an increase of 5.2% compared with January last year.
