Number of Azerbaijani citizens deported from Georgia last year announced

In 2025, 39 Azerbaijani citizens were deported from Georgia.

"The Daily Baku" reports that this was stated in the report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

In the first quarter of last year, 4 Azerbaijani citizens were deported from the neighboring country, in the second quarter - 16, in the third quarter - 7, and in the fourth quarter - 12. Compared to 2024, the number of our citizens facing deportation decreased by 32 people or 45%.

In the reporting year, a total of 1,311 foreigners were deported from Georgia, which is 3.6 times more than the previous year. The largest number of foreign citizens, 460, were expelled from the neighboring country in October-December.

It should be noted that in accordance with the strict migration legislation that came into force in Georgia on October 1 of last year, the deportation of foreigners is carried out according to a simplified procedure.
