New chairpersons and secretaries appointed to AKTA expert committees

According to the decision of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (AKTA) for 2025, new chairpersons and secretaries have been appointed to the association’s expert committees, The Daily Baku reports.

In line with the decision, the management team has been formed for four main committees covering AKTA’s areas of activity.

Thus, Ulvi Aslanov, a gold member of AKTA and Chief Executive Officer of Code Academy, has been appointed Chairperson of the Education, Training and Human Resources Committee, while Bahruz Aliyev, an IT engineer-researcher and AKTA expert, has been appointed Secretary.

Araz Mirzayev, a gold member of AKTA and founder of Upgrade Solutions LLC, has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Combating Cyber Threats, Technical Issues and Procedures. Shahmar Hasanli, Chief Information Officer of the same company and a gold member of AKTA, has been selected as Secretary.

Mircəlal Baghirov, a gold member of AKTA and Commercial Director of Techpro DC, has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Local Solutions, Products, Innovation and Startups. Rovshan Mammadov, Regional Sales Manager of Brandefense and an AKTA expert, has been appointed Secretary.

AKTA expert Kamran Karimov, Deputy Director of the Information Security Department at Kapital Bank, has been appointed Chairperson of the Legal, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Committee. Khadija Taghizada Burjaliyeva, Chief Engineer at SOCAR and an AKTA expert, has been selected as Secretary.

It should be noted that these new appointments aim to further strengthen AKTA’s activities, enhance coordination in the field of cybersecurity, and accelerate institutional development.
