Motorcyclist killed in collision with car in Baku

A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident in Baku.

The incident occurred on the Gala–Shuvalan road, where the rider, identified as Vugar Ilgar oglu Ashrafzade, collided with an oncoming car.

Reports say the motorcycle, travelling at high speed, struck a Mercedes-Benz E-280 driven by Jamil Nurulla oglu Behbudov.

Ashrafzade died at the scene from his injuries.

Authorities have opened a criminal case and an investigation is under way to determine the circumstances of the crash.
