More than 3,300 people have been killed in US and Israeli strikes on Iran, according to figures reported by Mehr News Agency.
The agency, citing the head of Iran’s Emergency Medical Services, Jafar Miadfar, said the death toll has reached 3,375. Among the victims are more than 2,800 men and around 500 women.
Miadfar ранее stated that at least 400 medical facilities across the country have been damaged since the strikes began. As a result, 26 medical workers were killed and another 188 injured.
The United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28, carrying out airstrikes on multiple cities. According to earlier reports, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the initial strikes.
In response, Iran launched missile attacks on Israeli territory and targeted US military bases in Gulf countries.
A two-week ceasefire agreement involving Iran, the United States and their allies was reached overnight on April 8. Talks between Iran and the US, mediated by Pakistan, were held in Islamabad on April 11–12, but did not result in a breakthrough.
