MEDİA has called on journalists to refrain from manipulative content regarding the tensions in the region

The Media Development Agency (MEDİA) has urged journalists to avoid manipulative content in connection with the tensions in the region.

According to information received by The Daily Baku from the Agency, posts referring to inaccurate and unidentified sources regarding the ongoing military operations in the Middle East have been observed on social media.

It was noted that such attempts, which increase the risk of disinformation in the information environment, are aimed at creating confusion in public opinion.

“Media entities should demonstrate a high level of professionalism in their approach to the flow of information on social networks and should not disseminate content of a manipulative nature or from sources that raise doubts. We call on all media entities, journalists, and public activists to rely only on official sources in their activities, refrain from posts that may cause public concern, and avoid any cases of information manipulation.”
