Macron discusses regional security issues with Pezeshkian

Any negotiations regarding the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz require the removal of the naval blockade imposed by the United States.
According to “The Daily Baku”, citing Iranian media, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made the statement during a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The presidents of the two countries discussed regional developments, the negotiation process, and several strategic issues, including the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Pezeshkian positively assessed France’s position calling for a diplomatic solution to the conflict in the Middle East.
Referring to the possible resumption of talks with the United States through Pakistan’s mediation, the Iranian president said their effectiveness depends on the end of the war and the provision of necessary guarantees against the resumption of operations against Iran. He also stressed that Iran is ready to resolve all issues within the framework of international law and norms.
