Leyla Aliyeva attended cutting ceremony of circular carpet prepared for Shusha Mosque

The weaving process of a circular handwoven carpet with a diameter of 22.17 meters—unparalleled in the history of global carpet weaving—has now been completed as a result of the joint efforts of the creative team and master weavers of Azerkhalcha OJSC, and with the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, PASHA Holding, and PMD Projects, Azerkhalcha OJSC said.

Leyla Aliyeva took part in the cutting process of the circular carpet prepared for the Shusha Mosque. Earlier, Leyla Aliyeva visited the Ismayilli workshop, where she closely examined the carpet, spent time with the weavers, and became part of this historic work by tying knots into the carpet. At the cutting stage, the final knots of the carpet were tied by Leyla Aliyeva herself.
