Kazakhstan and Türkiye discuss joint oil and gas projects at Baku Energy Week

Kazakhstan and Türkiye have discussed prospects for cooperation in geological exploration and the development of joint oil and gas projects.
According to information provided by KazMunayGas, the discussions took place during a meeting between Chairman of the Management Board Askhat Khassenov and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation with Turkish Petroleum Corporation, Türkiye’s state-owned oil and gas company. They also reviewed opportunities for joint exploration of promising areas in both countries and the exchange of geological data.
In addition, the sides discussed the North Caspian’s Greater Zhambyl field, where Turkish Petroleum Corporation is currently conducting a technical and economic assessment.
