Kazakhstan allocated about $2 million to the study and preservation of the Caspian Sea

The Government of Kazakhstan allocated 1.1 billion tenge (about $2 million) from the reserve for comprehensive study and preservation of the Caspian Sea.
As reported by The Daily Baku with reference to the government of Kazakhstan, the relevant decree was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
Funds are directed to JSC "Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of the Caspian Sea".
It is noted that the financing will contribute to the improvement of the scientific potential of the institute. Funds are provided for the purchase of equipment for marine monitoring, as well as the equipment of hydrobiological and hydrochemical laboratories. This will allow the NII to move to complex monitoring directly on the sea, including systematic observations of hydrometeorological and biological parameters of the environment, to expand the scientific basis of processes in the Kazakh part of the sea.
"Today, for the development of effective measures, the Scientific Research Institute is actively integrated into the international scientific community, has joined the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries", - noted the government.
For the implementation of this resolution, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is instructed to take all necessary measures, and the Ministry of Finance - to ensure strict control over the targeted use of budget funds.
