IRGC warns it will firmly counter any threats to Strait of Hormuz

The naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have warned that they will firmly counter any attempts to threaten the Strait of Hormuz, amid recent tensions with the United States.
The statement follows remarks by US President Donald Trump regarding a possible blockade of the strategic waterway.
According to the IRGC, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is being closely monitored using drones, with all movements and maritime traffic under the full control of Iran’s armed forces.
“Any wrong move will drag the adversary into deadly whirlpools in the strait,” the statement said.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes, and any escalation in the area could have significant global economic and security implications.
