Iran’s president says war in Middle East benefits no one, urges diplomacy

Masoud Pezeshkian has said that war in the Middle East serves no party’s interests and called for the use of diplomatic and rational means to reduce tensions.

The remarks were reported by the state news agency IRNA.

“War does not serve anyone’s interests, and in confronting threats, all rational and diplomatic avenues should be used to reduce tensions,” he said.

Pezeshkian also stressed the need to maintain what he described as “distrust and vigilance” in relations involving the United States and Israel.

His comments come amid ongoing regional tensions and diplomatic efforts to address security challenges in the Middle East.
