Iran's Foreign Ministry: Deal with the US must include lifting sanctions

The lifting of US sanctions against Iran should be a mandatory part of any possible agreement to resolve the crisis over Tehran's nuclear program.

According to The Daily Baku, this was stated by the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai.

"When it comes to the elements of any agreement or agreement - regardless of its final name - it is absolutely clear that the basis of such an agreement will be the lifting of sanctions.

In return, Iran will take steps to ensure that its nuclear program is never directed towards militarization," the Foreign Ministry's press service quoted the diplomat as saying.

According to Bagai, these two components form the basis of any agreement that can be considered and accepted by both sides.
