Iran strikes Qatar’s energy facilities with drones

Iran has carried out strikes on Qatar’s energy facilities.

The Daily Baku reports, citing a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Defence broadcast by Al Jazeera, that two unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the attack.

“One drone hit a water reservoir belonging to the Mesaieed power plant, while another struck one of the energy facilities in the Ras Laffan Industrial City, which is part of the structure of QatarEnergy,” the statement said.

According to the ministry, the damage and any losses resulting from the attack will be assessed by the relevant Qatari authorities.
