"Internet from A to Z: Practical Training for Media" was organized by the Information and Communication Technologies Agency, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA).

Rashad Bayramov, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport, stated that special importance is attached to digitalization and increasing digital literacy in the country. He noted that access to fixed broadband Internet has been created in all regions of the country within the framework of the "Online Azerbaijan" project. It was noted that while at the end of 2020 the media download speed in the country was approximately 10 Mbit/s, by the end of 2025 this indicator had increased to 90 Mbit/s. This increase is the result of the steps taken in recent years to modernize the internet infrastructure.

Nail Mardanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ICTA, emphasized in his speech that one of the main priorities of the reforms carried out in the telecommunications sector is to improve the quality of service. He said that comprehensive measures are being taken to form a sustainable infrastructure, ensure a transparent market environment and increase citizen satisfaction. The Chairman noted that the main goal of the training organized for journalists is to contribute to more accurate and objective information of the public on Internet-related issues, and to promote a simple and accurate explanation of technical concepts.

Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Natig Mammadli emphasized the importance of the development of specialized journalism and said that a specialized and professional approach increases the quality of media content and serves to properly inform the public. According to him, increasing knowledge in the field of modern technologies plays an important role in the professional development of journalists.

Within the framework of the training, participants were provided with practical and application-oriented information on the principles of Internet operation, concepts of speed and quality, Wi-Fi technologies, the role of modems and other equipment, measurement methods, as well as correct diagnostics of Internet problems, and the participants' questions were answered.

At the end of the training, certificates were presented to the participants.
