India's Embassy in Baku screened its fourth film as part of the “Bharat Filmotsav"

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Embassy of India in Baku organized a special and free screening of the popular Bollywood film “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” as the fourth film under the “Bharat Filmotsav” initiative, held within the framework of the Embassy’s well-known Baku Evenings cultural program.
The screening attracted significant interest from young audiences. Both Azerbaijani and Indian students attended the event, once again demonstrating the film’s broad popularity among youth. Participants greatly enjoyed the film’s refreshing storyline, beautiful visual scenes, and its deeper themes of friendship, travel, and self-discovery, as well as its memorable music and light, entertaining moments.
Expressing satisfaction with the strong interest in the event, Ambassador Abhay Kumar highlighted the richness and diversity of Indian cinema. He noted that Indian films continue to gain widespread popularity worldwide thanks to their distinctive storytelling style, emotional impact, and universal appeal. Guests were also offered specially prepared Indian snacks, which further enhanced the festive atmosphere of the evening.
The aim of the “Bharat Filmotsav,” organized within the Baku Evenings program, is to present the richness and diversity of Indian cinema to audiences in Azerbaijan, while also strengthening cultural understanding and people-to-people ties between India and Azerbaijan. This successful screening once again demonstrated the growing interest in Indian culture and films among both the Indian diaspora and Azerbaijani audiences.
