Guinea's transitional Prime Minister Amadou Ouri Ba has been dismissed by decree of President Mamady Doumbouya.
As reported by The Daily Baku, this was reported by the news portal Guinea 360.
He ordered the secretaries general of ministries to continue to manage the current affairs of their departments until a new government is appointed. The name of the new cabinet leader and its composition are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The government's resignation comes almost a week after Doumbouya took office as President of Guinea. He won the elections held on December 28, 2025. The presidential mandate in Guinea lasts seven years.
Doumbouya came to power in September 2021 following a coup d'état that ousted President Alpha Condé. The December elections were preceded by the adoption of a new constitution in a national referendum. Parliamentary elections are expected to be held in Guinea soon, which will complete the country's return to civilian rule.
