Further deepening of the legal framework was discussed between the prosecutor's offices of Azerbaijan and Morocco

The working visit of the delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev to the Kingdom of Morocco has ended.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
It was reported that within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Court of Cassation of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council Mohammad Abdenabaoui.
During the meeting, the importance of expanding mutually beneficial and effective cooperation between the legal systems of the countries was emphasized, and opportunities for exchange of experience and mutual legal support were discussed.
Within the framework of the visit, a bilateral meeting was also held in an expanded format between the delegation and the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco Abdullatif Ouahbi.
Recalling his previous visit to our country with satisfaction, the minister said that he had witnessed substantial development in all areas. During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the pace of development of relations between various institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Morocco, including law enforcement agencies, and exchanged views on further deepening the legal basis of cooperation between the institutions.
In addition, the delegation led by the Prosecutor General visited the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), met with the Director General of the organization, Dr. Salim Al Malik, and also visited the museum dedicated to the life of the Prophet Muhammad located at the headquarters.
The meeting noted with satisfaction the significant contributions made by our country to the activities of the organization, in particular, it was emphasized that the large-scale activities of the organization's Goodwill Ambassador, First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, played an important role in the protection and promotion of cultural monuments and spiritual heritage of the Islamic world.
Within the framework of the visit, the Prosecutor General also gave an interview to local television and press organizations of the Kingdom of Morocco. He noted that visits of this nature are of particular importance in terms of sharing experience in identifying common challenges in the fight against crime and preparing effective response measures accordingly.
In this regard, the current visit has created a favorable opportunity to get acquainted with the reforms implemented in the fields of combating transnational organized crime and corruption, as well as in increasing the efficiency of the legal system.
In addition, relevant discussions were held regarding the holding of joint international events and it was decided to mutually support the proposed initiatives.
The meetings were also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of our country to the Kingdom of Morocco, Nazim Samadov.
