Five people have died following a fire at the Olmeca oil refinery in Mexico.
According to The Daily Baku, the information was released by Mexico’s state owned oil and gas company, Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
In a statement, the company said that due to heavy rainfall, oily water overflowed outside the Olmeca refinery, accumulated in the area, and later ignited.
One of the victims was a company employee, while the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance. The company added that the situation is currently under control and there is no danger to the public or workers.
