Evacuation of staff from Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Tabriz completed

The evacuation of the staff of Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in the Iranian city of Tabriz has been completed, said the Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Aykhan Hajizada noted that the majority of the staff of our embassy in Tehran has also been evacuated.

It should be noted that yesterday Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, during a joint press conference in Baku with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, announced that instructions had been given regarding the evacuation of the staff of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Tehran as well as the Consulate General in Tabriz.
