Digital thinking should be developed in children and young people before the age of 18, MEDIA official says

Digital thinking should be formed in children and young people before they reach the age of 18, Deputy Executive Director of Azerbaijan's Media Development Agency (MEDIA), Natiq Mammadli, said during parliamentary discussions on proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences, the laws on Information, Informatization and Protection of Information, and on the Protection of Children from Harmful Information.
According to The Daily Baku, Mammadli said the legislation should be presented not as a restrictive measure, but as a tool that creates new opportunities for children.
"We should encourage children to use information that is beneficial for them," he said.
Mammadli also stressed the need to expand educational resources in the digital environment.
"Digital thinking should be developed in children and young people before the age of 18. At the same time, attention should be paid to the positive aspects of digital reality," he added.
