Denmark’s centre left bloc wins parliamentary elections by a narrow margin

Denmark’s centre left bloc has secured a slight lead over the centre right in the parliamentary elections.
TV2 reported this after 100% of the ballots were counted.
According to the results, the left (red) bloc won 83 out of 179 seats, while the right (blue) bloc secured 78. Both coalitions will need the support of the Moderates Party, which won 14 seats, to form a government.
The Social Democrats received the highest share of votes at 21.9%, a decrease of 5.6 percentage points compared to the 2022 elections. The largest right-wing party, the Liberals (“Venstre”), gained 10.1% of the vote, down by 3.2 percentage points.
Voter turnout stood at 84%.
