Delta suspends special services for members of Congress due to shutdown

Delta Air Lines, one of the largest U.S. carriers, is temporarily suspending certain special services for members of Congress due to resource constraints caused by the shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security.
This was reported by ABC News.
“Due to the impact of the shutdown, Delta will temporarily suspend special services for members of Congress traveling on the company’s aircraft,” the statement said.
The company emphasized that ensuring safety remains its top priority, followed by caring for employees and customers, but noted that this has become more difficult under current conditions.
According to the broadcaster, the services in question include escorting lawmakers at airports and providing specialized assistance in resolving complex travel issues.
