Bakhtiyar Mammadov: “Four trains were stranded in the tunnel during today’s incident”

Four trains of the Baku Metro were left immobilized in the tunnel after a malfunction occurred in the high-voltage supply to the contact rail on the “Ulduz–Narimanov” section.
According to “The Daily Baku”, this was stated by Bakhtiyar Mammadov, spokesperson for “Baku Metro” CJSC, in a statement to journalists.
He noted that at the time of the malfunction, there were 30 trains operating on the metro lines: “Four of them were in the tunnel, and the evacuation of passengers was successfully carried out in the shortest possible time in accordance with Baku Metro regulations. No complaints from passengers or reports of feeling unwell were received. At the same time, Baku Metro had taken preventive measures.”
