Baerbock called on the US to pay off its debt to the UN

UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock called on the United States, the largest donor, to fully repay its debt to the organization.
According to The Daily Baku, citing Reuters, the US government's latest payment amounted to less than 5% of the total outstanding amount – approximately $160 million out of more than $4 billion.
The Secretary-General warned that the organization faces an "imminent financial threat" due to unpaid contributions.
"Every member state is obligated to pay its contribution in full and on time, and $160 million is clearly not the full amount," Baerbock stated.
