AzInTelecom: Local artificial intelligence projects will be developed without dependence on foreign resources

“AzInTelecom” has established a Supercomputer Center in order to implement artificial intelligence projects, accelerate the country's development in the field of artificial intelligence and give impetus to digital development.

“The Daily Baku” reports that this was stated by “AzInTelecom” in response to a request from “APA-Economics”.

According to the information, the establishment of the Supercomputer Center is of strategic importance in terms of the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in the country:

"Thus, the Center, built on high-performance Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) chips, will play the role of technological infrastructure that ensures the fast operation of artificial intelligence models by processing large volumes of data. Thanks to this infrastructure, it will be possible to develop local artificial intelligence projects within the country without dependence on foreign resources."

It was noted that currently, the IT systems of more than 140 state institutions are located in the data centers of “AzInTelecom” LLC.
