Azerbaijan's Ministry of Health has announced the measures taken in connection with WUF13

On site inspections have been conducted at medical institutions that will provide medical support during the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), while meetings with their management assessed the conditions, material and technical base, and the preliminary preparedness of personnel.
The information was released by the Ministry of Health.
It was noted that these medical institutions include the Baku Health Center, the National Ophthalmology Center, Central Clinic, Liv Bona Dea, International Medical Centre (Babek branch of Baku Medical Plaza), and Malham Hospital.
Coordinators have been appointed by the medical institutions regarding the matter.
It was also reported that several institutions operating under the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), namely Yeni Klinika, the Clinical Medical Center, the Central Oil Workers Hospital, the Mahammadi Modular Hospital, and the Republican Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Center, have also been involved in providing medical assistance for the event.
Employees of the Ministry of Health have been assigned to ensure the organization and coordination of activities at the venue where the event will be held.
The required demand for medical equipment, medicines, and medical supplies related to the event has been identified and provided.
In addition, doctors and mid level medical staff from medical institutions operating under the Ministry of Health will be assigned to medical stations established during the event in order to provide medical services if necessary.
To ensure sanitary and hygienic control measures, regular disinfection work is planned in locations with large gatherings of guests, including event venues and other areas, as well as joint monitoring in public catering facilities, hotels, and restaurants.
It should be recalled that the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22 this year. This prestigious event dedicated to the development of sustainable cities is an important international platform for global dialogue and cooperation on urban planning, environmental protection, and climate resilience issues.
