Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector grew by 1%

In the first quarter of this year, agricultural production in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 billion 717.6 million manats.

This is 1.1% higher compared to the same period last year.

It should be recalled that in January–March, Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product (GDP) totaled 29 billion 703.2 million manats, which is 0.3% lower than in the same period last year.

In particular, over the past year, the value of the country’s oil and gas GDP decreased by 1.2% to 8 billion 531.6 million manats, while the non-oil and gas GDP increased by 0.2% to 21 billion 171.6 million manats.
